The Palace is a well-known internet café tucked into the heart of Raleigh’s 27604 area, a spot where gaming culture and local hangouts intersect. This is not your typical quiet café; instead, it buzzes with the energy of multiple gaming tables stacked side by side, including a variety of classic and modern arcade-style and fish tables. The crowds come looking for more than just a place to plug in — they come for the thrill of the game and the community around it.

The atmosphere is lively without feeling chaotic. Visitors comment on the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, who keep the gaming floors running smoothly and greet newcomers with smiles. The Palace’s daily promotions, especially the popular "double your money" offer available from late morning to early evening, draw in a steady flow of players eager to test their luck without breaking the bank. You’ll see folks settling in during these hours hoping to catch a winning streak, creating a social vibe that’s as much about camaraderie as it is about competition.

This place is best suited for anyone who enjoys arcade and skill-based gambling machines, from casual players curious to try their hand, to regulars who know the rhythm of the games. The variety of tables means it can handle a decent crowd without feeling cramped, which makes it a solid afternoon or early evening stop before the neighborhood’s evening crowds arrive elsewhere.

Visitors should be aware that while the games can deliver occasional big wins, the pace is generally one of steady play with ups and downs — it’s a place where patience and timing play as big a role as the games themselves. The staff’s positive attitude and quick service help keep spirits high even when the odds don’t swing your way.

In summary, The Palace fits well within Raleigh’s mix of local spots as a unique social hub for gaming enthusiasts and casual players alike. It’s where you come ready to play, chat, and spend time in an atmosphere that’s somewhere between a lively arcade and a neighborhood gathering place.

Security makes you smile from the minute you arrive. Daily promo that is super popular and unlimited between the hours of 10am-7pm $20 for $20 means that you start off with $40 at the game of your choice. ( double your money to cash out ). The employees are efficient, friendly and quick to serve. Always with a smile. The variety of games is what makes it unique. Lots of tables, some horizontal and others vertical so you can play like you would a video game from different angles. They even have a DOUBLE DIAMONDS SLOT MACHINE with the old style pull handle. It’s a $1 a spin but I’m not sure if that’s because the payout is big, the nostalgia or to preserve and protect the machine from harm. This is the place we seem to win at consistently. I’ve seen big ($5000) wins on a slot machine and decent wins on the Ultimate Firelinks. Unlike other places I’ve played these firelinks hit the bonus frequently. The majority of fireballs are $0.50-150 while other places set theirs so the money is higher at $2-9 per fireball. Personally I would rather win the lower amount because winning is always more fun no matter how much it is;). The fish tables seem consistent in their payouts and I never get the feeling that the tables aren’t paying on purpose like I have at other game rooms I’ve played at. I love that I can play 15c and win $1.46 after 20 free game spins or hit a bonus of $400 with one shot at a table. Free food seems to be served nearly every evening and it’s been delicious so far on the nights we have caught it. Someone is a fantastic cook and it’s prepared and served with a smile. Definitely one of the places I would not miss and maybe the only place I would go if time was short. It’s close to Raleigh’s only kid friendly amusement park Adventure Landing and several great restaurants. It’s also on the bus line and very close to downtown. Buses run very frequently almost to the front door and return to town just as many times per day.
